Stair Rods
The rod is inserted approximately ½"
into each end bracket. Therefore, the rod must be wider than the
width of the carpet by at least 1½ inches. This will allow a
minimum of ¼" of space between the edge of the carpet and
each bracket.
You can easily cut the rods to a shorter
length if desired with a metal cutting hacksaw. We recommend
using a blade with 14 to 24 teeth per inch.
