Measuring Stair Rods

In Association With

Stair Rods

The rod is inserted approximately ½" into each end bracket. Therefore, the rod must be wider than the width of the carpet by at least 1½ inches. This will allow a minimum of ¼" of space between the edge of the carpet and each bracket.

You can easily cut the rods to a shorter length if desired with a metal cutting hacksaw. We recommend using a blade with 14 to 24 teeth per inch.
